Ishak Ismail's remains buried

SEREMBAN: The remains of Datuk Ishak Ismail were buried at the Genting Muslim cemetery here at 2.20pm today.
Earlier, funeral rites were performed at the Paroi Jaya Mosque, led by State Public Utilities, Environment, Cooperatives and Consumerism Committee chairman Datuk Abu Ubaidah Redza, who is also Ampangan state assemblyman.
About 350 people were present during the burial.
Ishak, 66, died from a heart attack at 11.25pm yesterday at the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital in Kuala Pilah.
Yesterday, the Lenggeng assemblyman was attending an Aidilfitri open house hosted by Seri Menanti assemblyman Datuk Abdul Samad Ibrahim in Seri Menanti when he was reported to have fainted and was rushed to the Tuanku Ampuan Najihah for treatment.
Ishak, who was Lenggeng assemblyman for four terms, left behind his wife Datin Norimah Ujang and four children, aged between 23 and 32 years.
In the 13th general election, Ishak defeated Zulkefly Mohamad Omar from PAS and independent candidate Zulkifli Abdullah by a majority of 2,058 votes. — Bernama
