FGV disbands executive board committee, appoints Datuk Khairil Anuar Officer-In-Charge

PETALING JAYA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd's (FGV) board of directors has disbanded a three member board executive committee set up to take over the duties and responsibilities of the group president and CEO Datuk Zakaria Arshad in his absence, to appoint Datuk Khairil Anuar Aziz as Officer-In-Charge with immediate effect.
The commitee consisted of FGV directors Datuk Dr Omar Salim and Datuk Mohd Zafer Mohd Hashim, and head of logistics cluster Azman Ahmad. No reason was given for the move.
A domestic inquiry into Zakaria and CFO Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha by FGV is to start next Monday.
Khairil, who was COO, Logistics & other sectors has been with FGV Group since 2012 and a second generation FELDA settler, born and bred in FELDA Sungai Klah, Sungkai, Perak.
The group's share price fell two sen to close at RM1.66 on 7.54 million shares done. It has a market capitalisation of RM6.056 billion.
