KUALA LUMPUR: The opposition must change their strategy in order to win the people's confidence in the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14).
In expressing this, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim expressed his confidence that Barisan Nasional (BN) will continue to win the majority of votes.
"In politics, the party that has the most majority will be the leader.
"(This is) because BN is lead by Umno with 88 seats, DAP at 37, PKR has 29 and PAN has 8. In order to be (an Opposition) leader, both PKR and PAN have to change (their) tactics, otherwise, who will head (the coalition)?" he said.
Shahidan was responding to a press inquiry on Tun Mahathir Mohamad's claim that the latter is a "top dog" of Pakatan Harapan.
The minister in the Prime Minister's Department was speaking to the press at the Youth and Sport's Hari Raya open house held at Bukit Jalil.
