JOHOR BARU: Police have launched a manhunt for suspects involved in the murder of a contractor who was found dead in Taman Bukit Kempas on Wednesday.
The body of Chan Ting Boon, 66, was found in a double-storey terrace house under renovation at 12pm.
Johor Baru Utara district police chief ACP Mohd Taib Ahmad said the deceased was involved in renovation works at the house prior to his death.
He said based on the state of the body, Chan had likely been dead for two days prior to the discovery of his body.
Mohd Taib said police have classified the case as murder, following the results of the post-mortem report which showed that Chan had sustained injuries to the back of his head, likely caused by a sharp object.
