Shahrizat: Tun M is Pakatan Harapan's puppet

JOHOR BARU: Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Jalil said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is Pakatan Harapan's (PH) puppet, and nothing more.
She said although the former premier holds the post of chairman in the opposition alliance, it is likely that DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang wields power from behind the scenes.
"We don't see Lim in the PH leadership line-up, this is because he is hiding behind the scenes.
"Lim Kit Siang is the de-facto chairman of PH. Mahathir is only a puppet. Voting for PH is tantamount to voting for DAP.
"We all know that DAP has the most seats in Parliament, do we want a DAP candidate to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia?" she said during the Gelang Patah Wanita delegates meeting today.
Shahrizat expressed confidence that Barisan Nasional would succeed in wresting the Gelang Patah parliamentary constituency from Lim in the 14th general election.
PH announced its leadership line-up last week with Mahathir, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail occupying the top spots.
Anwar was named as PH's de-factor leader and Wan Azizah as its president.
The absence of prominent DAP leaders in the top-tier of the PH leadership structure set tongues wagging.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng is one of PH's three deputy presidents along with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Parti Amanah Negara's president Mohamad Sabu.
