LAST week, HP Malaysia introduced the new HP Spectre x360, the second generation of HP’s consumer x360 convertible.
The new model, which was introduced by Frankie Chan (above), HP Malaysia’s PC category director, now features a near-zero-border display in a design that is 13% thinner and 11% lighter than its predecessor.
The new HP Spectre x360 is 13.8mm thick and weighs 1.295kg which makes it 2mm thinner and 155g lighter than its predecessor.
Despite being smaller, it has two USB-Type C ports with Thunderbolt 3 and a USB-Type A 3.0 port which reduces the need for dongles.
Its bright display is a 13.3in diagonal FHD IPS panel which is paired with the HP Active Stylus Pen.
The combination results in a tactile experience that are similar to using pen and paper but with all the advantages of digital media.
The Spectre x360 is designed for Windows Ink, which includes a precise pen experience that was curated by the artist community and is sure to stun digital creators.
The number of speakers has been doubled to four. Thanks to tuning by Bang & Olufsen plus HP Audio Boost, the two forward facing speakers in addition to two on the bottom provide superb sound.
The new HP Spectre x360 comes in two colours, dark ash silver and natural silver. Each colour comes in two variants.
Both variants feature 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and Intel HD Graphics 620.
However, for RM5,299 you will get an Intel Core i5-7200U processor while RM6,099 gets you an Intel Core i7-7500U processor.
