INTEND to live and create a more sustainable life at home? Better still, why not get the whole family in on practising sustainable living habits together?
SUSTAINABLE PROJECT
Here to help you get started is Ikea who just launched its “Sustainable Living Project”, designed to raise awareness on the importance of leading a sustainable lifestyle through four “pillars”:
▶ saving energy;
▶ conserving water;
▶ reducing and recycling waste; and
▶ taking up healthier living choices.
SUSTAINABLE TOURS
This newly-launched campaign consists of tours that furnish one with decor ideas and solutions, complete with hands-on tricks and know-how tips to help save over RM3,000 a year.
These Sustainable Home Tours will be conducted at Ikea Damansara and Ikea Cheras stores throughout the campaign which runs until August 6. Interested parties are urged to register their interest at IKEA.my/sustainable living.
SUSTAINABLE BENEFITS
Furthermore, three families will be chosen to receive professional consultation and Ikea products worth up to RM8,000 per household. Together with Ikea, these families will be taught, over a course of four months, how to effect positive and earth sustaining changes in their everyday lives.
SUSTAINABLE LIVES
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the campaign, Ikea Family members can also exchange recyclable materials for Ikea points. Members of the public are encouraged to register as an Ikea Family member to enjoy perks and benefits, among other advantages.
