Man pleads guilty to five counts of committing unnatural sex on stepsons (Updated)

JOHOR BARU: A man faces up to 130 years in prison after pleading guilty in the Sessions Court here to five counts of committing unnatural sex and molesting his two stepsons.
The 24-year-old accused, who works at a prawn breeding pond, pleaded guilty to committing the offences between April 2016 and July 12 this year after the charges were read out to him in front of judge Mohammad Khalid Ab Karim.
The accused was also not allowed bail as he was still in a relationship with the mother of the two boys, aged seven and 11.
He told the court that he understood the repurcussion of pleading guilty to the charges.
For the first charge, the man was accused of molesting his seven-year-old stepson by inserting his finger into the boy's anus and was charged under Section 377CA of the Penal Code for having sexual contact with another person by inserting an object without consent.
He faces two other charges for committing a similar offence against his 11-year-old stepson.
The accused faces a maximum 30 years in prison for each of the offences committed and is also liable to be whipped.
The man was also charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code with two counts of committing sodomy on the same child and faces up to 20 years in jail for each offence, and is also liable to be whipped if found guilty.
The offences were allegedly committed at four locations in Mersing.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Suhaila Shafi'uddin prosecuted, while the accused was unrepresented.
The court has set Aug 3 for sentencing at the Criminal Court against child sexual offences.
