PETALING JAYA: The KGNS-Mazda Ladies Open returns with a bang after four years with over 85 players in the field, including participants from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and South Korea. Leading the Malaysian challenge is Warda Amira, the Kelab Golf Negara Subang (KGNS) 2017 junior champion.
The three-day tournament will be held at KGNS on Aug 1-3. After 36 holes of play, there will be a cut-off point where the top 40 and tied Gross scores and the top 20 and tied Nett scores will advance to the final day.
Organising chairperson Fauziah Badry said the course was in tip-top shape for the tournament. “No effort has been spared by KGNS in making playing conditions on our Putra Course as pristine as possible,” she said.
Up for grabs are the grand hole-in-one prize of a Mazda-2 which cost about RM90,000 on the road. Other prizes include Fourteen and Callaway iron sets sponsored by Transview, solid gold Murano glass beads by Hawa Ghazzali, and a Mauritius golf package from Letz Travel.
