CCK Consolidated shares dip after fire at factory
PETALING JAYA: CCK Consolidated Holdings Bhd’s shares fell 1.06% to 93 sen today after the company reported a fire incident at its factory yesterday.
At 10.53am, its share price fell 1 sen to 93 sen with a total of 2.23 million shares traded. The stock closed at 94 sen yesterday on 332,300 shares traded.
Yesterday, the company said a fire incident occurred at the fish ball production section of CS Choice factory. CS Choice is a subsidiary of CCK, which is engaged in the manufacturing, processing and packing meats and other food products.
It said the fire incident affected a small area, causing damage to the fish ball production line, leading it to temporarily cease production operation for clean-up, repair works and inspection. Production in the factory is expected to resume in one to two months’ time.
