(Video) Six armed men flee hypermarket after botched robbery attempt

SHAH ALAM: Six robbers armed with sledgehammers and a handgun escaped with only a handful of jewellery after hitting a store in a hypermarket in Section 23 here on Monday.
Sources said the robbers who wore helmets with dark visors barged into the store at about 6.28pm.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
In the video, two robbers, one holding a handgun stood guard as his accomplices smashed the jewellery showcases repeatedly.
Sources said the robbers failed in their attempt to break the jewellery showcases.
Moments later at 6.35pm, they fled the scene and escaped on three motorcycles.
Police were seen lifting fingerprints from the scene via pictures made viral in Facebook.
Netizens were amused at the robbers' botched attempts.
No staff were injured and the store had no customers at that time.
According to the store's Facebook page, the suspects did not manage to get any jewellery.
The damage caused by the incident was estimated to be around RM80,000.
Police also found a 9mm Luger bullet shell at the entrance of the hypermarket.
