Do not indulge in nostalgia for former leaders: Asyraf

KLUANG: All Umno members have been urged not to indulge in nostalgia and become obsessed with former leaders who abandoned the party.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki (pix) said Umno members should return to the original struggle by adhering to the ideals of upholding the race, the religion and the country.
"There is no need for Umno members to indulge in nostalgia and become obsessed with former leaders who abandoned the party.
"We never sidelined leaders who served the party but we have to move forward," he told reporters after opening the Kluang Wanita Umno division delegates meeting, here today.
Kluang Wanita Umno division chief Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain was also present.
Earlier, Asyraf, who is also Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, reminded Umno members to strengthen the unity and the machinery for the 14th general  election (GE14), and bring fear to the Opposition. — Bernama
