PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd has been awarded a RM42.4 million facilities management sub-contract by the Foreign Affairs Ministry to maintain the ministry’s complex over a period of five years.
AWC said in a Bursa Malaysia filing, it had on July 31 accepted and returned the Letter of Acceptance dated July 28 to the government.
The contract for the maintenance of the complex located in Putrajaya is slated to begin on Aug 1 and run until July 31, 2022.
“The KLN Maintenance is for the maintenance of Blocks WP1 & WP2 for Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya. This covers all the blocks utilised/occupied by the ministry in Putrajaya. As mentioned, this sub-contract extends AWC Group’s involvement in the Commercial and Healthcare Segments,” its board said.
This sub-contract is in addition to the maintenance work currently undertaken by AWC Group under a government concession from the federal government for the southern zone.
AWC said the sub-contract will enhance its facilities division as well as the group’s overall order book.
