Former Kelantan state rep made senator

KUALA LUMPUR: A former Kelantan state assemblyman was sworn in today as a senator for a three-year term of office.
Muhamad Mustafa, the former representative for Demit (renamed Ketereh), took the oath before Dewan Negara president Datuk Seri S. A. Vigneswaran at Parliament House.
Muhamad, 59, who hails from Kota Bharu, was the assemblyman for Demit from 2008 to 2013.
He is a member of the Kelantan PAS Ulama Committee.
Muhamad told reporters later that he regarded his appointment as a responsibility that he would discharge to the best of his ability for the sake of the country's development. — Bernama
