Special audit for Metronic Global extended till Aug 19

PETALING JAYA: Metronic Global Bhd said its special audit period has been extended to August 19 for a thorough review of its business operations as well as to identify any irregularities in the transactions.
"Findings of the special audit will be announced accordingly upon its completion," it said in a filing with the stock exchange.
Recall that following the engagement with Bursa Malaysia, Metronic had on May 2 appointed Ferrier Hodgson MH Sdn Bhd as its special auditor. The special audit was to be completed within two months' time.
Metronic's share price fell half a sen to close at 5 sen on some 2.11 million shares done, giving it a market capitalisation of RM47.47 million.
