Cops nab four men, seize RM20k worth of drugs

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Police arrested four men and seized drugs worth RM20,687 in two separate raids on Monday.
The suspects were arrested at a house at MK5, Kubang Semang at 1.30pm and another raid at a petrol station at Jalan Baru, Perai at 5pm.
Central Seberang Perai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said police had nabbed three men, aged between 25 and 43 at the house and seized a bag containing several types of drugs.
"We found five packets of syabu weighing 20.8gm, six packets of heroin weighing 32.1gm, and cash amounting to RM37,760 and equipment," he told reporters.
In the second raid, Nik Ros Azhan said a police team, who were patrolling around the Bukit Tengah area, spotted a man behaving suspiciously in his car in front of a hypermarket.
The 28-year-old suspect, who is from Taman Remia, then drove and stopped at a petrol station near the hypermarket.
"They found and seized a sling bag containing nine packets of powder believed to be ketamine, 120 Ecstacy pills, RM382 in cash, and three mobile phones.
He said police would investigate the suspects under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
