QSR Brands appoints Datuk Mohamed Azahari Kamil as MD

PETALING JAYA: QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, the region's largest quick service restaurant operator, appointed Datuk Mohamed Azahari Kamil as managing director, effective today.
Azahari, a chartered banker, is entrusted to manage and oversee the overall performance of the group, reporting directly to QSR Brands Chairman, Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, as well as the board of directors.
He has a career spanning 30 years in the financial services and educational sectors, helming senior management posts in various private and public organizations, including Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Amanah Raya-JMF Asset Management, Asian Finance Bank Berhad and most recently, SEGi University & Colleges.

His vast experience in the finance industry will perfectly complement the expertise of the existing leadership team as we aim to exceed market expectations and maintain the superior quality of products and service that our customers trust," said Kamaruzzaman in a statement.
The group also announced the appointments of CK Chong as chief information officer and Mizal Azman Malek as chief human resources officer.
The newly appointed team will chart a course for continued growth and success for QSR Brands alongside Merrill Pereyra, CEO of QSR Brands - Restaurants Division and Calvin Ang, CEO of QSR Brands - Upstream Division.
