KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission raided Menara Felda here today as investigations into Felda Investment Corporation (FIC) over the overpriced purchase of two hotels in Kuching and London progressed.
Investigators arrived at the place on Persiaran KLCC at about 10.30am and left about 5pm.
It is believed that the MACC had sought documents related to the case but it is yet to be ascertained if they were obtained.
It was the second raid conducted by the commission following an earlier one at the FIC office at Balai Felda, Jalan Gurney on July 17.
On Monday, the MACC detained a former chief executive officer of the FIC and hours later his former special officer. Both men are under remand for the probe.
About two weeks earlier, a director and a manager aged 45 and 36 respectively were also detained.
The probe commenced after it was found that both hotels were purchased at inflated prices causing losses close to RM100 million.
