02 Aug 2017 / 10:22 H.

UNDER the auspices of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) and the belief that quality education should not be denied to the deserving and underprivileged, Sunway Education Group (SEG) pledged RM1 million in scholarships to specially support students nurtured by the independent, non-profit Teach For Malaysia (TFM) as education is vital for the progress of a nation.
Taking the partnership with TFM one step further with this significant contribution, Dr Elizabeth Lee, senior executive director of Sunway Education Group and Sunway University, shared that opportunities will be created for deserving and underprivileged students to pursue quality education beyond schools.
As this amazing platform will help address the issue of education inequity in the country and help close the post-secondary gap, Dzameer Zulkifli, co-founder and managing director of TFM, claimed that "The RM1 million in scholarships will open doors for students to discover their full potential."
