KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has urged the Chinese community to be bold and fearless in reporting corruption and power abuse to ensure the country is free from graft.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad (pix) said today that corruption in the country has grown to become a serious issue and requires the involvement of all parties including the Chinese.
During a visit with officials of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Hua Zong) at the Menara Hua Zong here today, he said "We want everyone including the Chinese to give us their support and commitment, as with the current manpower the MACC has, we are unable to fight corruption without the help of all parties.
"The commission will always provide its assistance to Hua Zong in its efforts to fight corruption so that the business sector is free from this menace."
Dzulkifli and his officers spent about two and a half hours with Hua Zong president Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah where both parties discussed issues related to corruption.
