‘Pathetic’ Miss Singapore finalists back ‘transformed’

REMEMBER the finalists of Miss Singapore beauty pageant, who were dismissed as "pathetic" and "embarrassing" by ugly netizens? They are back after a "journey of transformation".

They returned to the limelight looking more groomed at a charity car wash held at the Red Cross House in Singapore over the weekend.

Pageant organiser ERM Singapore Marketing said the contestants are now "ready and confident to showcase their own definition of beauty to the world".

The event also created a sense of unity among the finalists and led them to develop more determination, it added.

ERM said they now have a "new understanding towards the importance of possessing the humanitarian spirit".
