Pangkor Dialogue 2017 to feature 'Festival of Ideas'

IPOH: Pangkor Dialogue 2017, the fourth in the annual series with the theme "Making the Future: Innovative Pathways towards Sustainable Development" will introduce a new element in the form of Perak Festival of Ideas.
The event to be held on Sept 11 and 12 at a hotel here is aimed at exchanging ideas and gathering inputs on how best to pursue and implement the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals for a better world.
Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) as the host had partnered up with United Nations Develoment Programme (UNDP) and Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) to organise this year's event.
Some 1,500 participants fron 30 countries will take part in the event.
Among the notable speakers at the Pangkor Dialogue are former President of Ecuador, Jorje Jamil Mahuad Witt, grassroots innovation scholar Anil Kuar Gupta and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett.
