Remains of Saudi national who drowned to be flown tonight

GEORGE TOWN: The body of a Saudi Arabia national who drowned near a beach in Tanjung Bungah on Monday evening will be flown back.
Embassy representative Sultan Naif Al Dawish said arrangements were being made to fly the body of Nasser Hudaybar Alouti, 40, back to his own country after the post-mortem at the Penang Hospital was completed.
He said embassy officials will also be arranging for the family of the deceased to be flown back home.
"We have arranged everything, we will send them back to Saudi Arabia tonigh ," he said when met at the Penang Hospital mortuary.
When contacted, tour guide Noor Alam Abdul Wahab told theSun Nasser was on a jet-ski with his daughter during the 6pm incident.
He said a bracelet belonging to his daughter fell into the sea and he doved into the water to try to retrieve the piece of jewellery after removing his life jacket.
"He did not emerge from the water and that was when we alerted the authorities for help," he added.
A Penang Fire and Rescue Services Department spokesman said the body was found some 300m from the shore.
"The deceased was brought to shore about 8.15pm and was pronounced dead before being taken to the Penang Hospital," he said.
The family of the deceased declined to speak to the media when met at the hotel.
