Seven detained in connection with multiple robbery cases in Johor

JOHOR BARU: Police detained seven individuals including two women who were in the 'wanted' list in connection with several robbery cases reported in several districts here.
Sources said the arrests came following a recent report lodged by a robbery victim who was hurt as well, by the suspects.
"The suspects were nabbed by the serious crime division (D9) team from the Johor police contingent.
"The suspects, all locals aged between 15 and 31, were detained at separate locations in Bangunan Wisma Maria Jalan Tun Abdul Razak and in Skudai, Johor on Monday at 11.30pm and they are heavily linked with robberies and two of them have past drug records," he said.
The raiding party also seized several telecommunication companies (telcos) prepaid card, vehicles, cellphones and electronic gadgets believed to be stolen items from their robbery.
It is learnt that three more suspects are at large and police are hot on the trail of the trio.
Upon interrogation, the detainees also revealed that the arrested suspects and the trio on the run were involved in eight previous criminal cases.
