PUTRAJAYA: Three more Felda Investment Corporation (FIC) directors were brought in for questioning by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at its headquarters here today.
The three directors are Datuk Nik Azman Mohd Zain, Datuk Dr Omar Salim and Datuk Nur Ehsanuddin Mohd Harun Narrashid, who is also the Kota Tinggi MP.
The trio were called up for investigations by the MACC over two hotel purchases by the FIC, one in London and the other in Kuching, in which FIC is believed to have paid over the stipulated market value for both hotels which resulted in millions of ringgit in losses to the FIC.
The trio had gone in at 9am today and Nik Azman was the first to come out at about 1pm, followed by Omar Salim at 1.30pm. The last to leave was Ehsanuddin at 3pm.
Meanwhile, two suspects linked to investigations involving the FIC were released by MACC, today.
Both were released following an eight-day remand.
They were released on bail set at RM200,000 with RM5,000 deposited with two sureties.
Both the suspects were arrested on Aug 1 for investigations by the MACC on the purchase of a luxury hotel in Kuching at an inflated rate.
