Two burnt to death after car collision

PONTIAN: Two people were burnt to death after their car collided with another vehicle at Km51 Jalan Pekan Nenas to Pontian today.
Pontian OCPD Supt Zakaria Abd Rahman said the two deceased's identities had yet to be determined as the two vehicles were completely damaged in the fire.
He said, initial investigation showed that one of the car drivers had lost control and skidded into the opposite lane and collided with the oncoming car.
He said, two deceased were from the same car, another two persons aged 20 and 21, both from the second car suffered injuries and were taken to the Pontian Hospital for treatment while the charred remains were sent to the mortuary.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving and causing death.
