6.3-magnitude earthquake hits Mindoro, Phillipines

KUALA LUMPUR: An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit Mindoro, in the Philippines, at 1.28pm today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the quake's epicentre was at 13.9 degrees north and 121.2 degrees east, north of Lipa in the Philippines, and 915 km northeast of Kudat, Sabah.
The quake did not pose any tsunami threat, it added. — Bernama
