AADK detains 11 addicts in Yan

YAN: A 16-year-old school dropout and his two friends, both aged 18 years, were among 11 people who were detained in the Cekup & Cegah operations carried out by the Yan District National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) in Kampung Sungai Limau Luar, Kampung Pasir and in Pekan Guar Chempedak near here early today.
AADK Chief Officer, Yan district Mohamad Ramli said the three youths were detained while they were in a house in  Kampung Pasir, believed to a haunt for addicts.
"Urine tests conducted on the three were found to be positive for the drug Syabu," he said, adding that the others who were arrested in the operations conducted in various locations comprised contract workers and unemployed persons.
