'Train Ride 2.0' Career Tour for southern zone on Aug 18-20

SEREMBAN: The Human Resources Ministry will host the Train Ride 2.0 Career Tour programme for the southern zone on Aug 18-20.
Negri Sembilan Manpower Department director, S. Tharu Marajan said Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Abdul Muttalib would lead the tour, scheduled to begin at the Kuala Lumpur railway station before making a pit stop in Seremban, Kluang (Johor) before the final stop at the Pulau Sebang in Malacca.
"In Seremban, the career fair will be held at the Seremban Prima shopping centre here on Aug 18 from 10am to 5pm. A total of 25 employers will participate in the carnival, offering over 2,000 vacancies in various fields for job seekers.
"I hope the public, especially job seekers, will not miss the opportunity to find and land the jobs or to enroll in training offered," he said in a statement here today.
The programme also involved various agencies under the Human Resources Ministry and cooperation from the Negri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor state governments, he said.
He added that the main objective of the career tour was to realise the National Key Results Areas (NKRA), that is to raise the quality of life for the low-income group, which can be achieved by providing them with jobs and trainings. — Bernama
