Selangor Sultan attends funeral of Pak Engku

SHAH ALAM: Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah today attended the funeral ceremony of the owner of Kuzie Katering, Datuk Raja Rosly Raja Mazlan or better known as Pak Engku at the Shah Alam Royal Mausoleum here.
The sultan arrived at the tomb at about 10.40am, accompanied by the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
Yesterday he had consented that the remains of Pak Engku be buried at the Shah Alam Royal Mausoleum.
About 300 family members, friends and artistes, who are acquainted with the late Pak Engku, also attended the funeral.
The remains of Pak Engku were buried at about 11 am and prayers were recited by the imam of Istana Alam Shah Mohd Rasid Mahful mosque.

Pak Engku, 57, died at the Darul Ehsan Medical Centre (DEMC) at about 9.10 pm due to diabetes and kidney problems. He had been unconscious after undergoing surgery at the same hospital on Thursday.
He is survived by his wife, Datin Ramziah Samah, 47, and three children, aged between 17 and 22.
Earlier the chief iman of Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah mosque Muhammad Farhan Wijaya led prayers when the remains of Pak Engku arrived at the mosque for funeral rites.

Due to his vast experience in the field of catering and food that he personally cooked, which had received numerous compliments, Pak Engku was entrusted to handle major events by dignitaries, including national leaders.
Among the events that he handled since 2009 was the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak's Aidilfitri open house and Aidilfitri open house at the Istana Negara in 2011. — Bernama
