Scrap collector killed by lightning

KUALA BERANG: A scrap collector was killed by lightning at the dumpsite at Batu 22 Jalan Kuala Berang - Ajil here, yesterday.
Mat Junoh Mamat, 51, from Kampung Merbau Pulas, Ajil was found dead at the location.
Hulu Terengganu police chief DSP Mohd Adli Mat Daud told Bernama that the victim's son went to look for him when he did not return home by 5pm and found the father dead nearby a hut there.
He said there were burn marks on the neck, hands and abdomen.
The post-mortem done at the Hulu Terengganu Hospital confirmed that the man had died after being struck by lightning, he added. — Bernama
