Gambling: 324 individuals detained nationwide last week

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 324 people suspected to be involved in gambling activities were detained in operations conducted throughout the country last week, said the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pix).
He said the arrests were made by Bukit Aman's Special Task Force for Anti-Vice, Gambling and Gangsterism (STAGG).
He said 1,629 computer units were also seized during the operations.
"Congratulations STAGG @PDRMsia for raiding gambling dens nationwide last week. Arresting 324 people and seizing 1,629 computers #GoPDRMGo," Khalid tweeted.
In another tweet, Khalid said STAGG had also detained 227 guest relations officers and masseuses in an anti-vice operations conducted throughout the country last week. — Bernama
