GOMBAK: The move to bring Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) into the Pakatan Harapan(PH) coalition must be discussed at its presidential council meeting first, said Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pix).
The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Deputy President said he has no knowledge of any meeting set by PH to discuss a possible cooperation with the coalition.
"I don't know about it (meeting) because I was with (Lim) Guan Eng yesterday.
"This matter must be discussed in the PH presidential council meeting. The meeting will be held soon and if the agenda (of Hindraf cooperating with PH) is in the minutes, then we will discuss this," Azmin told reporters after he attended Friday prayers at Masjid At-Taqwa in Selayang Baru here today.
Azmin was commenting on PH chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's meeting with Hindraf chairman P Waythamoorthy which took place at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya on Thursday.
The pictures of Mahathir and Waythamoorthy has been making the rounds on social media, leading to speculation that the opposition coalition is signing up yet another member.
On another development, Azmin, who is also Selangor Mentri Besar said the state government has allocated more than 1,200 cows to be distributed to mosques in Selangor.
He added that the state government had spent RM6 million for the program in conjunction with Hari-Raya Eidul Adha which will be celebrated on Sept 1.
