First City Sport Hybrid delivered

HONDA Malaysia today honoured Wilson Wong, the very first owner in Southeast Asia of the new City Sport Hybrid i-DCD at Honda dealership, Tenaga Setia Resources Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya.
The official delivery came less than a month after the new City Hybrid was introduced in Malaysia. Together with the new Jazz Hybrid, Malaysia is the only country outside Japan to introduce the Sport Hybrid i-DCD system, supporting Honda Malaysia’s strategy to focus on Next Generation Advanced Technology. The Sport Hybrid models are the only hybrid models in Malaysia priced below RM90,000, making them incredibly attractive and ideal cars for discerning customers who are looking for value-for-money vehicles that are fun to drive with sporty performance. In Japan, Honda has sold close to 865,000 units of hybrid vehicle with the i-DCD system.
Since its launch in March this year, the new City has strengthened its position as the B-segment leader by achieving more than 11,000 units sales in just four months. This record is consistent with the City’s popularity with Malaysians, where more than 260,000 units have been sold since it was officially introduced here in 2001.
Of the new City’s three variants, the E variant equipped with high value-for-money features is the most popular, recording over 40% of the sales, followed by the premium V variant at 39% and S variant at 21%. More than 31% of new owners preferred Modern Steel Metallic as the colour of their New City. White Orchid Pearl was also a hot favourite with 28% opting for this colour.
Wong said: “I have been searching for a car that is family-friendly yet still offers sporty driving performance. I was very excited when I heard that Honda Malaysia is introducing the new City Hybrid as this model fits my requirements of a spacious model with good safety features, and is fuel efficient and suitable for daily use. After taking it for a test drive, I was even more impressed by the advanced technology in this model and the fact that it is able to provide a powerful and sporty driving performance as well. I am very happy with my new car and the services provided by the dealer.”
As a token of appreciation for Wong, whose new City Hybrid is in Modern Steel Metallic, Honda Malaysia presented him with tickets to the 2017 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix in October and Modulo accessories package worth a total of RM5,070.
To celebrate the successful launch of the all-new CR-V and deliveries of the first new City Hybrid and new Jazz Hybrid recently, Honda Malaysia is organising a “T3ST DRIV3 R3WARDS” campaign from today to Aug 31. Any test drive of the new CR-V 1.5L Turbocharged Premium, new Jazz Sport Hybrid i-DCD and new City Sport Hybrid i-DCD at 91 Honda dealers will automatically put the potential customer in the campaign. Three hundred lucky draw winners from this campaign will win cash vouchers worth RM300 each.
