MAKKAH: The high discipline among Malaysian pilgrims and the efficiency of Pilgrims Fund Board or Tabung Haji (TH) in managing the haj operations, continue to impress the Southeast Asia Muassasah Tewafah (pilgrims management body).
Its chief, Sheikh Muhammed Amin Hassan Andarqiri, praised the Malaysian haj pilgrims for their discipline and TH for its efficient management of the pilgrims.
The Malaysian pilgrims were known for their high discipline, he said, adding that it should be emulated by pilgrims from other countries.
"We had discussions with (Saudi Arabia's Haj and Umrah) minister and he said all pilgrims emulate the haj pilgrims from Malaysia," he told a press conference which was held with Malaysian Haj delegation chief Datuk Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman at the agency's office here recently.
The Southeast Asia Muassasah Tewafah is an agency under the Saudi Arabia's Haj and Umrah Ministry, which is responsible for managing pilgrims from Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, in Makkah.

In Madinah, the Malaysian pilgrims are managed by Muassasah Adilla.
Sheikh Muhammed Amin said some improvements had been made on the haj facilities, during the masyair, by replacing the old tents to give more comfort to the pilgrims.
He said they had installed rugs in the congregation tents and placed special generators to supply electricity for air-conditioning as the weather on the holy land was expected to be hotter than during the last haj season.
For this year's haj season, the agency is managing the welfare, travel, accommodation, food and masyair operation of over 300,000 Southeast Asian pilgrims, including 30,200 from Malaysia. — Bernama
