4.603 Rumawip houses built in Kuala Lumpur as of July

KUALA LUMPUR: Eleven Federal Territories Housing (Rumawip) projects in the city, which involve the construction of 4,603 residential units, have been fully completed as of July this year, the Dewan Negara was told.
Deputy Federal Territories Minister Datuk Dr. Loga Balan Mohan said of the total, 66% or 3,037 of the residential units have been handed over to the buyers.
"Apart from that, 21,263 other residential units from 37 Rumawip projects are under construction. At present, the construction o another 46,924 houses unit under 63 projects are being planned to be implemented in the three federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya dan Labuan," he said in reply to Senator Tan Sri S Nallakaruppan during question time at the Dewan Negara sitting here today.
Loga Balan said the government had targetted to build 50,000 Rumawip units Kuala Lumpur, 20,000 units in Putrajaya and 10,000 units in Labuan by 2020. — Bernama
