Siblings Qabil, Quzandria come out of retirement to win team dressage gold

KUALA LUMPUR: National equestrian ace Mohd Qabil Ambak Mahamad Fathil, winner of nine gold medals in the SEA Games and his sister Quzandria Nur Mahamad Fathil came out retirement to help Malaysia win the team dressage gold at the 3Q Equestrian Centre in Rawang today.
Qabil who competed in the 2007 Korat SEA Games in Thailand 10 years ago and won four gold medals had announced his retirement after the games although equestrian was not competed since. 
The team comprising Edric Lee Chin Hon, Quek Sue Yian, Quzandria and Qabil Ambak had a combined score of 210.947 points to seal the victory. 
Qabil with his horse, Walkuere, topped the score in the Malaysian team with 73.053 points.
The scores were based on top three best timing.
Thailand, which included Princess Sirivannavarinariratana Vajiralongkorn, came in second with 206.211 points and Singapore settled for the bronze with 201.289 points. — Bernama
