Voluntary registration for National Service open until Sept 15

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians who want to voluntarily sign up for the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) can still do so until the deadline on Sept 15.
The National Training Programme Department said interested candidates can apply to take part in the three-month programme by filling up a form at the department's official website.
The department added the third batch of participants for 2017 would undergo the PLKN training beginning Sept 30 until Nov 28.
It said successful applicants would be informed through a notice at least two weeks before the registration date.
"They can review their application and placement through www.khidmatnegara.gov.my," it said.
"Further information relating to PLKN can also be found through our department's official social media site on Faceook, Twitter and Instagram," it said in a statement.
