Malaysian swimmers chase for medals in seven finals tonight

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian swimmers will be chasing for more medals on the fifth day of swimming competition at the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.
Keith Lim Kit Sern cruised through into the final of the men's 50m freestyle after finishing fourth in the heats with a time of 23.34s.
His compatriot, Wong Fu Kang would feature in the men's 100m breaststroke final after he managed to clock 1:04.09s, qualifying him for the sixth place in the heats.
Lim Ching Hwang who helped the national quartet to bag silver and bronze in the men's 4x100 and 4x200m medley respectively, would swim in the 400m individual medley with a time of 4:44.31s to finish seventh in the heats.
Malaysia's Christina Loh Yen Ling is on the right path to bag a medal in the women 200m breaststroke after she finished second in the heats with a time of 2:35.59s.
Caroline Chan Zi Xin, who touched the wall in a time of 29.97s to end in third place, would chase for the women's 50m breaststroke medals.
Meanwhile, Nadia Adrianna Redza and the Malaysian women's quartet would compete in the 400m individual medley and 4x100m medley final. — Bernama
