Tiger attacks trainer, drags him across stage in circus

A CHINESE circus trainer was attacked by a tiger during a live performance at a theatre, but miraculously escaped with no life-threatening injuries.
According to the Liaoshen Evening Post, the tiger attack happened during a circus show at the Liaohe Grand Theatre in Yingkou, Liaoning Province on Aug 20.
The tiger pounced on the trainer and dragged him along the stage. A colleague rushed to his rescue by repeatedly beating the animal with a long wooden stick.
The tiger was reportedly forced to perform the routine thrice a day for 10 consecutive days which may have caused the breakdown, South China Morning Post quoted circus bosses in its report.
The circus had announced that the animal would only be made to do two shows a day after the incident.
