Father, girlfriend, her two sons claim trial to abusing 14-year-old boy

JOHOR BARU: A father, his girlfriend and her two sons claimed trial to abusing the man's 14-year-old son at the Sessions and Magistrate court today.
They are alleged to have committed the offence at No. 31, Jalan Camar 5, Taman Perling, between July to Aug 14, 2017.
In the Session Court, the father, Viswanathan Ganesen, 36, claimed trial to the charge under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
Sessions Judge Kamarudin Kamson set bail at RM20,000, and fixed Sept 13 for mention.
In the Magistrate Court, his girlfriend Lectchumy Krishnan, 40, claimed trial to the charge under Section 324 of the Penal Code for allegedly injuring the victim with a weapon.
Magistrate Siti Hajar Ali set Sept 3 for mention.
In another Magistrate Court, her two sons Sivaraj Raja, 14, and Aravindaar Raja, 19, claimed trial to the charge under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt to the victim.
Magistrate Salina Omar fixed Aug 8 for mention.
The courts fixed bail for each accused at RM1,000 with one surety.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Natalie Chew and Muhammad Mohd Nasir prosecuted, while the four of them were not represented.
