JOHOR BARU: Similar to South Korea's "Running Man" game-show, the Angry Birds Crew Challenge (ABC Challenge) set to take place here, in October, looks to boost self-esteem and confidence among students.
The programme by Angry Birds Activity Park Johor Baru and the Johor State Education Department has seen the organising team travelled to 200 randomly selected schools in the district of Johor Baru and the surrounding areas since 2015.
According to a statement today, promotional tours had been held at selected schools since March.
"A total of 100 out of 400 primary schools in Johor will be visited," said the statement from Angry Birds Activity Park.
The ABC Challenge is a competition among primary schools which challenges participants to use their brains and brawns to complete obstacles such as the Trampoline, Go-Kart and Bag Jump.
The competition will be divided into two categories, category A which involves pupils from Standard One to Standard Three and category B for students from Standard Four to Standard Six.
The top ten teams from each category in the qualifying round will compete in the final round, and each task given challenges the participants in various aspects such as physical, tactical, acrobatic, body balance, and IQ.
In addition to offering various prizes, the annual Angry Birds Park programme also provides exposure to students on the importance of social interaction skills with family and friends, through physical activity. — Bernama
