ContiRoadAttack 3 wins test again

CONTINENTAL Tyre’s new ContiRoadAttack 3 has achieved its second test victory in just three months. Set up on the rims of a Suzuki GSX-S 750, the testers from a motorcycle magazine ran six pairs of sports touring tyres in sizes 120/70 ZR17 and 180/55 ZR17 around a test track. In the end, the ContiRoadAttack 3 scored the most points with a total of 277 from a possible 300.
“For the runs on both dry and wet tarmac, the testers paid particular attention to cold tyre behavior, handling, accuracy, stability, grip, threshold, righting moment and feedback. The deceleration speeds in wet conditions were also documented in detail and evaluated,” the company said in a press statement.
“It was a close-run battle between the candidates in many disciplines, but in some of the tests the ContiRoadAttack 3 achieved particularly good results and was able to take the overall victory. As expected, the final judgment from the test writers was positive: “A good all-rounder that deals well with a sporty riding style. The competition didn’t come close in terms of accuracy, stability, grip or feedback.”
“This second test victory since its presentation in March this year means that the ‘new one from Korbach’* has once again proven its superb qualities as an excellent sports touring tyre.”
    * Korbach, a town in Germany, is Continental’s “home plant for motorcycle tyres”.
