Bulldozer driver buried alive in Kajang landslide

KUALA LUMPUR: A bulldozer driver was killed when he was buried alive in a landslide while operating the machine at Wira Heights, Bandar Sungai Long in Kajang today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Operations Management chief Alimaddia Bukri said in the 5pm incident, the 37-year-old Bangladeshi worker, identified only as Abdul Halim, died at the location.
"The body of the victim was excavated at 6.35pm after a 35-minute digging works," he said when contacted here today.
Alimaddia said the department received the distress call at about 5.19pm before dispatching eight personnel from the Kajang Fire and Rescue Station to the scene.
The body was taken to the Kajang Hospital for post mortem, he added. — Bernama
