Butcher hacked to death

SEGAMAT: A 39-year-old butcher was hacked to death while he was busy preparing meat for sale by the roadside near Felda Chemplak here.
The victim, Ahmad Radzi Jamaludin, was allegedly attacked by a parang-wielding man from the back and suffered severe injuries to his left hand and neck.
His sister, Shabariah Jamaludin, 33, said the attack happened about 7.30am yesterday when Ahmad was busy preparing beef to sell for Hari Raya Haji.
"An unknown man in his 40s approached on a motorcycle and suddenly attacked him.
"Relatives rushed him to a nearby clinic but he died before he could receive treatment," she said.
Segamat police chief Supt Raub Selamat said a suspect has been arrested and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
