Afternoon rain, thunderstorm in most states

KUALA LUMPUR: Rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur in the afternoon till evening in most states, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.
A spokesman said when contacted today that the affected areas included the west coast of the peninsula – Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Selangor and Kelantan.
He said the condition was due to the confluence of the southwest and easterly winds.
However, only certain areas in the interior of Sarawak and Sabah are expected to have rain in the afternoon, he said. — Bernama
