Battle between BN and PH for GE14: Guan Eng

GEORGE TOWN: The next general election will be a battle between the ruling coalition Barisan Nasional (BN) and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition pact according to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
The Pakatan Harapan (PH) deputy president said the choice for voters will be between these two pacts while dismissing any possible chances PAS may have in being the opposition vote spoiler.
He said the Islamist party which cooperated with the then Pakatan Rakyat (PR) pact has already deviated from its political struggle and appears to be cooperating with the BN now.
"PAS has no ambition to form a government as they contest for sake of contesting, " he said at a press conference today.
The DAP secretary-general said this when asked to comment on the possibility that the opposition vote will be split after the PH leadership decided not to work with PAS.
Lim urged his PH colleagues to brace themselves for three-cornered fights.
"Don't dream that PAS will be with us," he said, adding PAS has its own hardcore supporters but the possibility of losses will also arise.
"Likelihood of PAS losing Kelantan also looks real," he added.
