Fourteen beauties vie for crown in Miss Orient International Malaysia 2017

SUBANG JAYA:The winner of the Miss Orient International Malaysia 2017 title will be crowned with a diamond-studded tiara worth RM1.5million sponsored by Roku Luxury.
However, the tiara remains the property of the organisers and she will receive a replica worth RM200,000.
Fourteen contestants between 18 and 27 years old are competing for the crown and the beauty queen will eventually represent Malaysia and compete at the Miss Orient International Final.
"We are a multiracial and multicultural country. With this pageant, we hope to promote our country's culture and heritage. This event will also promote Malaysia's tourism," said Alice Lee, founder and chairperson of Miss Orient International Malaysia 2017.
Lee who was involved with other pageants before, hoped that this pageant would be well received by the public.
The grand finale of the event would be on Sept 8 while the Miss Orient International Final will be held next year.
"The finalists will be judged on confidence, charisma, stage presentation, catwalk, poise, posture and heritage of Malaysia," Lee added.
In addition to the title of Miss Orient International Malaysia 2017, there are other subsidiary titles to be won, such as Miss Roku Luxury Elegance, Miss Ogawa Health & Wellness, Miss Summit USJ Personality, Miss Dream Cut Radian Hair, Miss Carlo Rino Gorgeous, Miss La Mode Crowning Glory, Miss Senzo Beautiful Nails, Miss ASK Popular, Miss One City and Best National Costume.
