Bintulu police nab suspect in RM110,000 burglary case

MIRI: Bintulu police have succeeded in apprehending the prime suspect of a house break-in involving the theft of goods worth RM110,000 on Aug 29.
Bintulu police chief ACP Zailanni Amit said the 45-year-old suspect was caught at 11.30pm last night at a house in Taman Kemena Sutera, Jalan Sebiew Bintulu not far from the location of a major burglary case.
"In the Aug 29 case, the owner, 36, had reported losses of various goods valued at RM110,000 and the case was investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement today.

According to him, among the items stolen from the house were a metal cutter, exacavator spare parts, a television set and one drum of engine oil.
"After arresting the suspect, police also recovered various other items in his house, among them were 32 aluminium rods and a unit of air-conditioner," he said.
