KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) and Grab recently signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in three potential areas including utilising Grab for Work (GFW), Grab's corporate transport management solution for TM's employees and customers.
With the collaboration, both companies will explore opportunities towards implementation of GFW, which includes using Grab services for ferrying TM customers to the nearest TMpoint for transactions purposes and in-car WiFi powered by the group's Centre of Excellence for Mobility – webe.
TM Chief Digital Officer Ahmad Azhar Yahya said the collaboration with Grab was in tandem with the group's 'Going Digital' aspiration as it moved beyond connectivity into new value-added digital and smart services.
"Under the aspiration, we are also embarking on a holistic approach covering customer experience, process optimisation and new business opportunities.
"This entails building a digitally aware and smarter workforce that acts as a catalyst to the digital transformation of TM, thus powering Malaysia's digital economy," he said in a statement today.
Through this collaboration, TM and Grab would also explore strategic and innovation opportunities, together with marketing and branding activities that has been scheduled for pilot projects in the coming months.
Both parties are expected to announce several exciting new collaboration initiatives soon. — Bernama
